The IDEAA Challenge is a prototyping competition for high school students to solve a problem or challenge. The teams will work towards a solution using concepts of design, engineering, prototyping, automation, mechatronics, coding, research, and science among others. Throughout the competition, team members will have opportunities to attend prototyping and project management workshops. Prototyping equipment and limited materials will be available for the teams to get started. During the final competition, teams will present their ideas and solutions to a panel of judges. The winning teams will receive the following prizes:

1st Place – $3,000    |    2nd Place – $2,000    |    3rd Place – $1,000

The ideal team for the IDEAA Challenge is 2-4 high school students who enjoy working, learning, and creating innovative solutions. The topic of the Challenge this year will be renewable energy and the environment. The actual challenge will be revealed at the Kickoff.
