Project Description

With the world population expected to exceed 9 billion by the year 2050, the need for sustainable, renewable sources of energy has never been greater. This project uses rainwater to generate energy that helps resolve the energy crisis by expanding on current hydroelectric designs.

The design will harness the energy of rainwater flowing downhill by directing it through a series of turbines, potentially providing a year round energy supplement in certain climates and thereby reducing the reliance on fossil fuels. Computational modeling would be used to create the most cost effective design before building a system.
