This project is designed to determine if and how a person’s personality correlates to the physical and verbal cues he or she demonstrates while lying. We designed simple experiments in which test subjects were examined, their individual behaviors during deception carefully analyzed, and their personality types (according to a Myers-Briggs test) compared to these behaviors.
Of the four manifestations of individual personality covered by this test, the introversion/extraversion scale in particular seemed to affect the cues particular to each test subject during deception. Further research and experimentation is hoped to verify our results.
