On October 23 Rahil Thanawala (2016 YiQ Scholar) officially launched TheSnaplink App; a therapeutic App developed for Alzeimer’s patients and caregivers. More information about TheSnaplink App can be found at: http://thesnaplink.com.

Rahil had over 125 people in attendance with 10 people on Livestream. He has so far raised $5,000, he was awarded a $500 grant from Health & Science Innovations as part of the YiQ Scholars program, and he will get $2,000 from the Children’s Museum on Nov 11th along with National Power of Children Award. He started 3 chapters of TheSnapLink (Ohio, Illinois and Mumbai) and inducted board members – Dr. Gary Krishnan (Eli Lilly), Dr. Anne Marie Hake (Eli Lilly), Dr. Ajay Chawla (Physician from Ohio), Ninad Thanawala (Student Cornell), Rupal Thanawala (Accenture), Harsh Bhimjyani (Technology Lead, Real Dot) & Shivane Chawla (Global Youth Chapter Leader). Rahil’s Snaplink project has also been submitted to Accenture Healthtech Innovation Challenge for additional round of funding.

As a YiQ Scholar Rahil will be working on testing the App and collecting/analyzing data from users (patients and caregivers) with the goal of further understanding the needs of that community, understanding the impact of the App, and for further improvements.
